Installation: requirements and platforms
Technical requirements and supported platforms for LemonScore. Find out which hardware and software you need to install the scoreboard software.
Platforms
Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
LemonScore is a desktop app that works reliably on all platforms.
Please note: as we cannot offer Linux support for all customers, Linux packages are only available on request and with an Enterprise licence. We provide a SNAP package.
Remote control from any device.
Our browser-based remote control works on any device with a modern browser: phone, tablet or laptop. In addition, the native LemonScore mobile app is available for iOS and Android, with haptic feedback, automatic server discovery and controls optimised for use at the side of the pitch.
Internet? Only at the start.
You need an internet connection to download LemonScore and activate your licence. After that, everything runs offline. The remote control works as long as all devices are on the same local network. No internet required, which is ideal for sports halls, clubhouses and rural stadiums where the Wi-Fi is unreliable.

A note on performance
For regular scoreboard use, LemonScore has relatively low system requirements and runs smoothly on most modern computers. Displaying scores, timers and simple layouts does not require powerful hardware.
However, LemonScore Pro and Enterprise include advanced features such as video playback. These media-intensive use cases, especially on high-resolution LED walls or large scoreboards, require more capable hardware for smooth playback.
We recommend devices with strong GPU performance for these use cases. We have had the best experience with Apple's M3 and M4 processors, which deliver excellent results for high-resolution, media-intensive applications.
