User interface: navigation and structure
Get to know the LemonScore user interface: the sidebar, screen controls, the controller grid and the options for customising the scoreboard software.
The LemonScore user interface is divided into three main areas: the sidebar (navigation), the screen controls and the central workspace. All features can be reached via the sidebar.
The sidebar can be collapsed, expanded and customised, so you only see the modules you actually need.
Sidebar (navigation)
The sidebar on the left contains the following menu items:
- Controller: the main control panel for score, clock and animations.
- Playlists: manage and play media playlists on the scoreboard.
- Music: play background music and sound effects.
- Advertising Banners: show sponsor and advertising banners on the screen.
- Teams: create and edit teams and assign logos.
- Remote Control: enable LAN remote control via browser or mobile app.
- Settings: configure screen, layouts, audio and licence.
- Help: opens the online documentation.
Some menu items (Playlists, Advertising Banners, Teams, Remote Control) are only available with a Pro or Enterprise licence.
Customising the sidebar
You can change the order of the menu items via drag and drop and show or hide individual entries:
- Click the lock icon at the top right to unlock the layout.
- The sidebar switches to edit mode, and drag handles and visibility toggles appear.
- Drag menu items to the desired position.
- Click the eye icon to show or hide an entry.
- Exit the mode via Lock layout.
The sidebar can be collapsed with the arrow icon at the top to make more room for the workspace.
Screen controls
At the bottom of the sidebar there are two buttons:
- Launch Screen / Close Screen: opens or closes the scoreboard window on the selected display.
- Black-out: turns the screen black without closing the window. Useful for breaks or preparations.
Controller grid
The Controller is the central workspace. It shows cards for score, clock, animations, shortcuts and other modules in a customisable grid. Via Customise layout you can move or hide cards or change the grid size. You will find further details under Operating the scoreboard.
Tips
- Collapse: collapse the sidebar when you are working on a smaller screen or want to use the Controller in full screen.
- Pro badge: menu items with a Pro badge are greyed out in the Basic licence. An upgrade unlocks them.
