Scoreboard advertising: show sponsors on the score display
Sponsors on the scoreboard instead of only on the perimeter boards: logos, rotating advertising banners, half-time playlists and goal animations run on the LED score display, all controlled from a single piece of software. The scoreboard becomes an advertising space that the club markets itself.

How advertising on the scoreboard works
Five advertising slots, one piece of software: LemonScore controls the score and sponsor advertising together. The classic sponsor board at the entrance and the perimeter advertising stay; the scoreboard is added as a moving surface.
Advertising banners beneath the score
The advertising area on the scoreboard shows sponsor logos and messages directly beneath the score and match clock, visible for the entire match.
Rotating sponsors
Several sponsors share the same advertising space: logos and banners rotate automatically at the interval you choose. Premium partners can be given more screen time on request.
Playlists during the breaks
Before kick-off, at half-time and after the final whistle, the scoreboard plays your sponsors' videos and images as a full-screen playlist.
Goal animation with sponsor
Every home goal triggers an animation with the goal sponsor's logo, exactly in the moment of celebration when everyone is looking at the board.
Match clock sponsor
The match clock sponsor sits permanently next to the playing time and is therefore present for the full 90 minutes, including in a livestream via OBS.

Which sponsor runs when?
A match day from the point of view of the scoreboard: the match clock sponsor is present throughout, the banners rotate during play, the playlists fill the breaks, and the goal animation appears at every home goal.
The match clock sponsor and the goal animation stay visible in the livestream too, when you overlay the score display in your stream via OBS.
What does scoreboard advertising bring in per season?
Public rate cards from Swiss amateur clubs set the anchor: perimeter advertising costs CHF 300 to 650 per season. As a rule of thumb, a slot on the LED scoreboard can be priced at 1.5 to 2 times that, because it moves, it is bright and it is visible at every goal.
| Advertising slot | Slots | Guide price per season | Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotating banner beneath the score | 6 | CHF 600 to 1'200 | CHF 3'600 to 7'200 |
| Half-time spot, 15 s video in the playlist | 4 | CHF 500 to 800 | CHF 2'000 to 3'200 |
| Goal animation with logo | 1 | CHF 1'200 to 1'800 | CHF 1'200 to 1'800 |
| Main sponsor: logo in the layout and match clock | 1 | CHF 2'000 to 3'000 | CHF 2'000 to 3'000 |
| Total with 12 slots sold | 12 | CHF 8'800 to 15'200 |
Guide prices for Swiss lower-league clubs with 200 to 400 spectators. Perimeter prices from the public sponsorship documents of FC Rüti ZH, SV Muttenz and FC Roggwil; the LED premium is a rule of thumb, not a guarantee.
Worked example: when is the LED wall paid off?
A 3 x 2 m LED wall costs around CHF 14'000 all-in. With 12 slots sold (1 main sponsor at CHF 2'500, 1 goal animation at CHF 1'500, 6 banners at CHF 900, 4 half-time spots at CHF 600) the club takes in CHF 11'800 per season. After CHF 500 for electricity, maintenance and software, around CHF 11'300 remain: the wall is paid off after the second season, or after the third with only 8 slots sold (around CHF 7'500).

“Thanks to LemonScore we were able to market our sponsor spaces on the LED wall professionally. Our advertising income has risen noticeably as a result, which makes the software indispensable for us.”

Frequently asked questions about advertising on the scoreboard
How much can a club earn with advertising on the scoreboard?
As a guide for lower-league clubs: 8 to 12 sponsors at CHF 600 to 1'200 per season for the rotating banner, plus CHF 2'000 to 3'000 for the main sponsor with the match clock. In the worked example with 12 slots sold, that adds up to CHF 11'800 per season; a 3 x 2 m LED wall costing CHF 14'000 is paid off after the second season.
Perimeter advertising or a digital scoreboard?
Both together. A static perimeter board costs sponsors in Switzerland CHF 300 to 650 per season and remains the entry-level offer. A slot on the scoreboard is worth roughly 1.5 to 2 times that, because it moves, it is bright and it is visible at every goal. The easiest sale is to offer the scoreboard slot as an add-on to existing perimeter sponsors.
Who switches the advertising on match day?
Nobody has to do it manually. The banners rotate automatically during play, the half-time playlist is started by the announcer or match secretary with one click or from a phone, and the goal animation with the sponsor logo appears automatically with every goal entered.
How do I get advertising onto the score display?
With LemonScore you upload sponsor logos and advertising banners into the software and assign them to the advertising area of your layout. The scoreboard then shows the ads automatically next to the score and match clock, with no additional hardware. Software pricing is on the pricing page.
Does this work with every LED scoreboard?
Yes. LemonScore runs on Windows and macOS and drives any LED wall that can be connected via HDMI or a Novastar controller, from a compact board to a large outdoor LED wall.
