Settings: configuration and options
Configure licensing, screen, layouts and other settings in LemonScore. Set up your scoreboard software for the best possible display on any screen.
General
The Settings area in LemonScore lets you configure licensing (current licence, licence key), language settings, backups and software updates. The General tab is the main area for these core settings.
Overview
Current licence: Shows your current licence type (e.g. Pro) and its status (e.g. Active).
Licence key: Secure input field for your product key. To activate:
- Enter your licence key.
- Click Activate.
- After activation, the status updates to Active.
Language: Drop-down menu for selecting the interface language (e.g. English/German).
Backup and restore: Provides options for backing up and restoring your settings and data.
- Export backup: Creates a backup file of your current settings, teams, advertising and configurations.
- Import backup: Restores settings from a previously saved backup file.
Version: Shows the current version of the LemonScore Controller (e.g. 1.2.8).
- Check for updates: Looks for the latest available version and lets you update.
Screen
The Screen tab manages how the scoreboard is displayed, including layout style, resolution, screen selection and display options.
Overview
Layout: Drop-down menu for selecting the scoreboard layout (e.g. Basic 1). Each layout defines the design and arrangement of the elements (such as team scores, timer and banners).
Resolution: Lets you set the screen resolution in pixels. Enter the desired width (X) and height (Y) in pixels (e.g. 800 × 600 px).
Display: Selects which connected monitor or display device the scoreboard appears on. Shows a list of the available monitors (with resolution information).
Open screen in full-screen mode: When enabled, the scoreboard runs in full-screen mode on the selected display.
Open screen at app start: When enabled, the scoreboard opens automatically when the application starts.
Layouts tab
The Layouts tab lets you create, edit and manage scoreboard layouts. Each layout defines how information (scores, timer, banners and so on) is shown on the screen.
Overview
- Layout name: Shows the name of each saved layout (e.g. Layout_1, Layout_2).
- Resolution: Shows the resolution assigned to each layout (e.g. 1920 × 1080 px).
- Actions:
- Edit layout: Opens the Layout Editor to change the arrangement, resolution or design.
- Delete layout: Permanently removes the selected layout.
- Create new layout: Button for creating a new layout with a custom resolution and name.
Layout settings
Layout name: Enter a unique name for the layout (e.g. Basketball_1080p).
Layout resolution: Define the resolution in pixels (e.g. 1920 × 1080). The resolution should match or scale with the native resolution of your display.
Save / Back
- Save: Saves the current layout and its settings.
- Back: Returns to the Layouts tab without saving changes.
