Match clock and timer: keeping time under control
Control the match clock and countdown timer in LemonScore. Quick select, added time, automatic stop at 45, 90 and 120 minutes, and manual time entry.
The match clock control is the central timing element on your scoreboard. LemonScore offers two modes: the match clock that counts up for regular matches, and a countdown timer for tournaments or time-limited formats. You switch between the modes with the toggle at the top of the clock controller.
When you switch between Match and Timer, the current time is reset and the added time is cleared. A running timer is stopped automatically.
Match clock (match mode)
The match clock counts up from 00:00 and is suitable for football, handball or other sports with continuous playing time.
- Start / Stop: starts or stops the match clock.
- Quick select: sets the clock immediately to 0', 45', 90' or 120'. If the clock is already running, a confirmation prompt appears before the time is changed. The clock is stopped in the process.
- Time correction: use the -10, -1, +1 and +10 buttons to adjust the time to the second, even while the clock is running.
Added time
Enter the desired added time (1 to 50 minutes) in the input field and confirm with the green tick. The added time is shown on the scoreboard next to the playing time (for example 90:00 +3). To hide the added time again, press the red X.
Countdown timer
The timer counts down from a set value to 00:00 and stops automatically at zero. This mode is suitable for mini games, warm-up phases or other time-limited periods.
- Switch to Timer mode with the toggle at the top.
- Enter the desired duration in the Min and Sec fields.
- Press Start to start the countdown.
- Use Stop to pause the timer and Reset to set it back to the entered value.
The time correction buttons (-10, -1, +1, +10) are also available in timer mode.
Automatic stop
In Settings you can enable the option Stop match clock automatically. When it is active, the match clock stops automatically at 45, 90 and 120 minutes, ideal for football matches where the clock should be stopped at half-time or at the end of the match.
The automatic stop only applies in match mode and exactly at the minute values listed. Added time is not affected by it.
Manual time entry
Under Settings you will find the manual clock control. It lets you set the match clock directly to a specific time (format: MM:SS). The clock is stopped and set to the entered value.
Tips and notes
- Remote control: the match clock and timer can also be operated via the Remote Control and the mobile app. All changes are synchronised in real time.
- Quick select at 0': the quick select 0' resets the clock to the start value without starting it.
- Timer reset: the Reset button is only active when the timer is stopped and the current time differs from the entered value.
Switching between match and timer mode resets all time data. Do not switch modes during a running match.
